
Steven studied International Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before completing the GDL at City University of London with Distinction. He then studied the Bar Course at City St George’s, University of London. He also read an MPhil in Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, where he conducted socio-legal research on the equitable concept of unconscionability.
Steven is a proud member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, having graduated in the top 5% of his undergraduate class. He received the Lord Bowen (top GDL scholarship) and Cassel Scholarships from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
He has had an active debating career, having served as the secretary and debating coach at the Lincoln’s Inn Debating Club. He has also participated in pro bono projects for the School Exclusion Project.
Steven speaks Mandarin Chinese.
